If there is one thing I am always on the lookout for, it is a way to reduce the amount of time it takes to cook dinner and at the same time cut down on the mess. The other night I saw an infomercial demonstration of the Nuwave Pro Digital Oven and how it could cook a frozen turkey in only a couple of hours, chicken breasts in half an hour, and many other foods in just 13 minutes.
As much as I love to cook, I hate using pots and pans that foods stick to and that are hard to clean up. For years I used Teflon coated pans, but having read about the health risks associated with Teflon in the past few years, I decided that it was time to look for non-stick pans that are also healthier to use.
In most cases we have always been wary of any type of “all-in-one” device, whether it is a tool for our woodshop or a new appliance for the kitchen. I have seen far too many commercials for appliances that promise to slice, dice, chop, and crush virtually anything you will ever use to prepare food in your home, most of which fail miserably.
